Spirits & the Material World- Gallery Show

October 30: Saturday 4:30pm- 7:00pm
All are invited to the reception which will feature specialist in the realm of the supernatural: Elaine Read-Cole of Favorite Things Studio in Pembroke will be hosting fifteen minute Conversations with Heaven. ReginaHamilton of Plymouth will be hosting fifteen minute Goddess Card readings. $20 each session paid directly to the reader. Sign up at the reception.
The Gallery of Great Pumpkins will be on display along with an assortment of Sugar Skulls created by students in a recent workshop in the lobby area. Light refreshments will be served. Costumes, masks and other festive Halloween dress encouraged!

The Duxbury Art Association is calling all artists to submit two or three-dimensional artwork in any media for an upcoming exhibition entitled: Spirits & the Material World:All work should contain an image, representation or interpretation of dreams, spirits, ghosts, Day of the Dead, tarot, Halloween, astrology, phantoms, etc.
To be considered for exhibition, original two-dimensional or three-demensional artwork must be submitted. Entry is open to everyone. DAA membership is not required. Work must have been completed within the last five years and not previously exhibited in a DAA Show.
Should the number of entries exceed our gallery space; artists will be notified of their status by phone or e-mail by end of day, Friday, October 22nd, 2010
Accepted artwork can be picked up at the conclusion of the exhibition, date TBD. The DAA can return work only of return postage is supplied.
Fee & Sales:
A non-refundable entry fee of $5 per piece for current DAA members and $15 per piece for non-DAA members will be charged. Membership can be updated at the time of registration. Artwork need not be listed for sale; however, if a selling price is listed on the registration form, the Duxbury Art Association retains a 40% commission on all artwork sold in the Bengtz and Cutler Galleries.
All due care will be exercised in handling the works submitted. The DAA will not be responsible for damaged, lost or stolen items. The Duxbury Art Association will not be responsible for work left after the pick-up date(s). Artwork left over 30 days will become the property of the Duxbury Art Association.
