Calling All Artists!

For the DAA's 100th Anniversary, please consider joining our centennial exhibition, the theme is "All Around Town".  We hope you will consider donating art in a 10"x10" unframed, mounted format, which will then become part of a larger panel exhibit. The exhibit will be moved around town and select pieces will be published in a centennial coffee table book.  Others will be auctioned to raise money for the DAA and our community programs. Artwork submission is June 9th 4:00 - 7:00 pm and June 10th 10:ooam 12:00pm at the Ellison Center for the Arts, Duxbury Art Association office . Also, our Art2 Exhibit will be open to the public in our gallery at the Ellison Center! Details for the reception will be published on the DAA website in early June.

Calling All Volunteers!

The DAA needs volunteers to help us usher in our next 100 years!!  This summer we will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of our founding, we have many events planned and need help in the following areas:  gallery management, office hours, open studio monitoring, events and shows and we welcome your talents!  For more information please send an email to info@duxburyart.org, or sign up here!

As the DAA turns 100 years old at the end of 2017, it has given us a reason to step back and reconnect with the DAA’s history, original mission, and who the DAA wants to be moving forward.  (See Archived article from the Duxbury Clipper)

The DAA will be “returning to its roots”, and moving away from a tuition-based education offering and instead creating a mission-driven organization that makes the arts more accessible to a variety of constituents--an organization that cultivates the arts and supports art related programs and organizations in the Duxbury area.  Learn More
